Bottom Eyelash Extensions

What Is Bottom Eyelash Extensions

Your natural bottom eyelash is those tiny, thin and short strings of lashes below the eyelid close to the skin under the eye. It may not be so obviously seen but everyone has it, no matter how scanty. Bottom Eyelash Extensions are lash applications that are also thin and short to fit into your bottom eyelid. They are applied together with the upper eyelash extensions but a bit differently. It is well known that applying for the upper eyelash extensions generally pops your eye and makes it more attractive but applying the bottom lashes alongside is a game changer.

Advantages of Bottom Eyelash Extensions

01/

Create a more balanced look
Adding length and volume to the lower lashes helps balance out the extensions applied to the top lashes. This creates a more symmetrical appearance, which is very flattering.

02/

Make your eyes look bigger
Bottom lash extensions can make your eyes appear larger and more open. Combining them with longer extensions toward the middle of the eye creates an even more dramatic open-eyed look.

03/

Elongate your face
For those with rounder features, long and voluminous lower eyelash extensions can help elongate the face and give a more slender appearance.

04/

More natural
They are applied in a similar way to upper lash extensions but in reverse. Since the lower natural lashes grow downward, the lash extension is applied in the same direction.

Who Is Suitable for Bottom Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash extensions have become increasingly popular in recent years, with many people opting for both top and bottom lash extensions to enhance their overall look. While top lash extensions are more common, there has been a growing trend towards bottom lash extensions as well. Eyelash extensions for bottom lashes can enhance the eyes and create a more dramatic look. They can also give the appearance of a fuller and more symmetrical lash line, which can be especially beneficial for those with naturally sparse or uneven lashes. Additionally, bottom lash extensions can help balance out the top lash extensions, creating a more cohesive overall look. Bottom mink lashes are best suited for clients with healthy and strong bottom lashes. If your bottom lashes are weak or sparse, it may not be advisable to get extensions as this can exacerbate the problem. However, if you have strong and healthy bottom lashes, bottom lash extensions can be a great way to enhance your overall look. Bottom lash extensions are particularly well-suited to certain types of clients, including those who want a more dramatic and symmetrical lash look, mascara-loving clients, mega volume lash clients, and bride-to-be clients. Clients who are prone to eye irritation or discomfort should avoid bottom lash extensions, as should those with weak or sparse bottom lashes. Additionally, those with a history of eye infections or allergies may want to steer clear of bottom lash extensions, as they can exacerbate these issues.

How to Apply Lash Extensions to Bottom Eyelash Extensions
Applying lash extensions to the bottom lashes is a delicate process that requires precision and care. It's important to choose a skilled and experienced lash technician who can ensure that the extensions are applied correctly and safely. The process involves isolating each bottom lash and applying a single extension to each lash. This is typically done using a special adhesive that is safe for use around the eyes. The extensions are then carefully separated and positioned to create a natural-looking and symmetrical lash line. When it comes to bottom lash extensions, it's important to use the right type of lashes. Individual lashes are typically the best choice, as they allow for more precision and control during the application process. Additionally, mink lashes are a popular choice for bottom lash extensions, as they are soft, lightweight, and natural-looking.Caring for bottom lash extensions requires a bit of extra attention and care. To keep your lashes looking their best, it's important to avoid rubbing or tugging on them, as this can cause breakage and damage. Additionally, it's important to avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after application, as this can compromise the adhesive. To maintain your bottom lash extensions, you should avoid using oil-based makeup products, as these can break down the adhesive and cause the lashes to fall out. Instead, opt for water-based makeup products, and use a gentle, oil-free makeup remover when taking off your makeup. Additionally, you should avoid using an eyelash curler on your bottom lashes, as this can damage the extensions and cause them to fall out. Regular maintenance appointments are also essential for keeping your bottom lash extensions looking their best. Your lash technician can help you determine the best schedule for maintenance appointments, but most clients need to come in for a touch-up every 2-3 weeks. In summary, bottom lash extensions can be a great way to enhance your overall look and create a more dramatic and symmetrical lash line. Bottom lash extensions are best suited for clients with healthy and strong bottom lashes, and they are particularly well-suited to certain types of clients, such as those who want a more dramatic lash look or are getting married. If you're considering getting bottom lash extensions, it's important to choose a skilled and experienced lash technician who can ensure that the extensions are applied safely and correctly. Additionally, you'll need to take extra care to maintain your extensions and avoid damaging them. With proper care and maintenance, however, bottom lash extensions can be a great way to enhance your natural beauty and create a more polished and put-together look.

Precautions When Operating Bottom Eyelash Extensions
Adding extensions tobottom lashes is in trend. You’ll be amazed at how adding 15-20 lower lashes per eye greatly changes how the eye appears. Bottom lashes can make the eyes look bigger and more dramatic without looking fake. However, lower lash extensions aren’t always offered to clients to enhance their lash look. Why? Because it’s considered to be an advanced skill. Lower lash extensions are suitable for everyone, but the following three types of clients will love this lash more than anyone:Some clients just can’t give up those mascara pumped up lower lashes. Although we understand that urge, most mascaras are not lash-extension-friendly and they can damage the retention! Having lower lash extensions is an excellent choice for these clients because they prevent the risk of mascara debris clumping together with upper lash extensions. Bottom lash extension is all about balancing out the top and bottom lashes. If your mega volume lash client thinks her lashes are a little too dramatic, adding lower lashes can easily balance the focal point and make her top lashes even better! This is a huge plus for our bride clients who need to look good AND have a high chance of crying! Having bottom lash extensions can not only make them look extra special but also prevent those embarrassing raccoon eye moments. Layer two strips of tape, with the adhesive parts facing each other. Next is placing the eye pad. Placing the eye pad is going to be a little bit different since you’re doing bottom lashes. The lower lashes will be exposed, so place an eye pad underneath the bottom lashesfor application. The first step is to pull up the upper lashes so that they don’t interfere with the lower lashes. We like using micropore tape for this job. When picking up a lower lash, what you want to do is place them the opposite way (upside down) to how you would apply the top lashes. Once you have your lash extension picked and flipped, you can go ahead and isolate the natural bottom lash you want to put the extension on.Because bottom lashes are more sparse than top lashes, it’s tempting to not isolate them and apply the lash directly. However, you must isolate the bottom lashes! Otherwise, they can all stick together and make a huge mess.

Bottom Eyelash Extensions Are Popular in the Market
While most are familiar with eyelash extensions on the top lash line, there's a rising star in the beauty scene that's capturing the attention of lash enthusiasts everywhere: bottom lash extensions. This delicate addition to your clients' treatment can transform their final look, offering a balanced and beautiful finish that’s hard to ignore. Whilst top eyelash extensions have long been popular, bottom lash extensions are emerging as an essential complement to achieve a full and balanced look. But what exactly are bottom lash extensions? Bottom lash extensions are precisely what they sound like - individual lashes applied to the lashes of the lower eyelids. Just as with the upper lash extensions, these are attached to your natural bottom lashes using the same Classic lash extensions technique. The result? A more defined and dramatic gaze that accentuates the eyes from every angle. When done correctly, they can beautifully frame the eyes, adding depth and dimension without looking overdone. Whether you're aiming for a soft, natural enhancement or a bold, captivating look, bottom lash extensions can be tailored to your client’s preferences.Although eyelash extensions already give the illusion of a widening effect that balances out the eye, lower lashes will take your clients' lash sets to the next level, offering a complementary and symmetrical look. Let’s imagine a Doll Eye or Dolly lash map that involves applying your longest lashes towards the middle portion of the eye, and envision pairing this eye-opening style with bottom lashes! This pairing is a match made in heaven; it is a flawless combo that offers a natural but striking look that enhances the appearance of natural looking lashes. Balancing the heavy top half of the eye with bottom lash extensions will really make the eyes pop! All in all, every single lash extension style can be complemented by lower lashes, and they’ll shed just as naturally as the top lashes. Bottom lashes are a great treatment to offer clients who love the long, bottom lashes effect, are avid wearers of mascara, and perfect for clients who are getting their lashes done for their wedding or other emotional events where there is a chance of shedding.

Which Lashes Should You Use for Bottom Lash Extensions?

As you may have guessed, bottom lash extensions require more of a delicate touch, given the short and thin structure of the lower lashes in comparison to the top. Generally speaking, bottom lashes should hold less of a curl than top lashes to mimic the same effect of the natural bottom lashes. Your clients' bottom lashes should ideally be shorter, thinner, and less curly than the upper, and with this in mind, we need to choose the perfect lashes that are the best length, curl, and weight. So, what lashes should you use? In terms of length for bottom lash extensions, we would recommend using shorter lengths of 4-7 mm as you’ll want to extend the natural lash approximately by 1mm, but not too drastically. In terms of diameter/thickness, anything around 0.10 is ideal, but this is entirely up to you and the look your client desires! Generally speaking, similar rules apply to the bottom lashes as they do to the top, and you need to ensure that the lashes aren’t weighed down by the extensions and cause stress to the natural lash. Regarding the perfect curl, we would advise using a B curl or a J curl, as with a straighter curl, you are likely to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing finish. Bottom lash extensions are actually applied in a very similar way to upper eyelash extensions. However, instead, you’re doing it in reverse! This may seem tricky and fiddly at first, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll set the precedence for the rest of the lower lash set. The main thing you need to consider is that when applying lash extensions on the lower natural lashes, it's important to follow the direction of the lashes. Since they grow downwards towards the skin, the lash extension should also be applied in the same direction, which results in the tip of the lash extension's curl facing downwards. By doing so, you can ensure that the lash extensions look natural and blend seamlessly with your client’s lashes.

How Long Does the Bottom Eyelash ExtensionsTreatment Last

Eyelash extensions are a great lash enhancement method: they make your eyes more open, your lashes look longer, thicker, and more glamorous, they can look very natural, but also pretty dramatic. Lash extensions are usually added to the upper lashes, but bottom eyelash extensions are also a thing. You may wonder why anyone would want bottom eyelash extensions, and isn’t it enough to apply mascara on them and make them thicker and darker. The lash technician picks up an individual extension with tweezers, dips it in a lash adhesive, and glues it to your natural lashes. One extension goes to one of the natural lashes. The eyes look more open, more awake and the bottom lashes will compliment the top lashes and add balance. What’s best, they look pretty subtle and natural. While the upper eyelash extensions treatment usually lasts up to 2.5 hours, this treatment is much shorter. This is because bottom lashes are not as dense as the upper and applying an extension on each bottom lash would be too much. It is only done on some of the lashes; 15-20 extensions are enough for a more natural effect (some add 30-40, depending on the state of the bottom lashes) so the treatment is usually no longer than 30 minutes. Bottom eyelash extensions are usually done in combination with upper lash extensions, so the aftercare is the same. It’s not really complicated, but it’s important to keep your lashes dry in the first 24 hours after the treatment. Basically, you need to avoid long showers, swimming, steam, crying. Don’t use eye makeup, especially mascara, and avoid oil-based products.
