The Using Premade Fan Lashes Versus Hand Made Volume Fans
Unlike classic lash extensions, which are applied 1:1 on the natural lash, volume lashes use 2-7 of very thin and lightweight eyelash extensions to create a fan by hand to attach to a single natural lash. Premade Fan Lashes Styling Secrets - Customising for Unique Eye Shapes

A one-size-fits-all approach won't work because everyone's eye shapes and natural lashes are unique. But don't worry; we're here to guide you through styling for various challenging eye shapes. Keep reading until the end! Clients with small eyes often want to make their eyes look bigger for a balanced facial appearance. The doll eye lash map is perfect for this, as it emphasises the middle of the eye, creating the illusion of larger eyes. Opt for a slightly longer length, such as 9 to 12mm or 13mm, and a stronger curl . A medium-density volume lash set is ideal, as it tends to better correct and flatter the eye shape. For downturned eyes, first identify where the droopiness begins. Use a flatter curl, up to the droopiness point, then switch curls with slightly longer lashes. Transition smoothly by mixing curls and lengths in the middle, avoiding an abrupt shift to longer lashes. Most importantly, do not apply lashes at the very end of the eyes; extending lashes too far can accentuate the droopiness, which is generally unflattering.Best lash extension style for wide set eyes. What's the Difference Between Premade Fan Lashes and Premade Fans?
If you’ve been thinking about trying premade fans, you might have been surprised to see that there are so many different types available on the market. Premade fans, promade fans, long stem, short stem, mid stem… and the list goes on! Premade volume lashes are perfectly fanned and laid on a tray by the lash supplier, so all you need to do is pick them up and apply them to your client’s natural lashes, as you would with classic lashes.Short stem premade fans have a shorter and pointier base, with a wider appearance. They are best for filling gaps in sparse natural lashes, and result in a softer, fluffier look like that of handmade Russian volume fans.Long stem premade fans have a long base, and a dramatic and dense look that yields a black eyeliner effect. Just like Classic lashes, they are easier to apply, making them the best option for beginners or artists who have never used premade lashes before. They resemble a handmade volume fan. Promade fans may be referred to by different names, but simply put, the fans inside are basically the same, with different packaging.Loose promade fans come in a bunch in a tiny box. They are not pre-lined for you, so you will need a silicone pad to use these.Loose fans are the most economical option. You can reduce your cost per client significantly just by using these, since there are 1,000 fans inside a super tiny box (which will be enough to create up to seven volume sets). The small packaging will also save you a lot of storage space. If your lash room is not very spacious, you’ll understand how big an advantage this is. You may set them up on a silicone pad beforehand to shorten the appointment time, such as when you are waiting for clients to arrive. They are called “eco boxes” because the package is made of environmentally-friendly cardboard. With one tray, you will get between 400 to 600 volume fans (varies based on the dimension of the lashes). As they come all laid out in a box, all you need to do is remove one strip (or even just pick it up directly from the tray), then apply. The boxes are bigger, meaning that if you want to stock up different dimensions, lengths, and curls, you will need a lot of space for them.
The process for creating premade fans is similar to that of handmade volume lashes in that a person is involved but it is assisted by a machine. Typically, a row of thin PBT threads are arranged on a lash tray, then the roots (=base) of these threads are either heat-bonded or connected via a small amount of adhesive. Once the adhesion of the roots is completed, the threads will be rolled into the desired curl and heat-processed to retain the curl. Once the curl is made, the lash makers in the supplier’s factory will transfer the desired amount of thread to the strip and open up the fans by hand like how it is done at the lash studio. The finished fans are then neatly attached to a strip of adhesive with rows of other premade lash fans, and they are shipped out on a tray. Also, for some clients who want the fuller volume lash look but just don’t have the time (or the patience) to be on the lash bed for more than 2 hours, adding the premade volume set to your service offering can be a game-changer. Are premade lash fans safe for eyelashes? Yes, of course! But just like with any lash extension application, premade lash fans should be applied with the correct technique. Any damage will only happen if you are applying fans in the wrong ways, like applying too close to the skin, applying with too much adhesive, applying with improper isolation, or applying without considering the client’s lash condition.
The lash artist must consider the weight, natural lash health, diameter, length, curl of natural lash, and growing direction of each individual lash before applying it to the natural lash. If a skilled artist can't find this balance, the end result could be disastrous! First, find out what kind of lashes you want. Do you want the look of classic lashes that are barely visible, or do you want the look of dramatic lashes that will make your clients’ eyes pop? Use premade lashes with short stems and fewer extensions, such as the 3D volume fans to create a very natural volume style. The shorter the lash, the less visible it is. So, if you want your eyelashes to be less noticeable, then you need to choose a shorter lash. Just use short-stem premade lash fans, such as 4D and 6D volume fans, to achieve a full, voluminous lash look. This is a great way to add some oomph to your existing extensions. You don't need a whole new pair of eyes to give your lashes some volume. Use 10D premade volume lash fan if you want to add some extra drama to your lash style.
